Virtually control who is allowed access to your gate from anywhere using your computer, tablet, or phone. The "Ascent X Series" Cellular Telephone Entry System by American Access Systems uses a T-Mobile SIM card to dial any phone number of your choice, allowing communication from your gate to anywhere on the planet.
Visitors simply press the call button on the Ascent 16-X1, and it will call you anywhere in the world. You can then see who your guests are first and open the gate using one easy key stroke. Pre-approved access is provided by our revolutionary Summit Control security software via phone app, text or voice.
The Ascent 16-X1 is built from high-quality, durable stainless and black powder coated steel and will give you years of carefree operation. It features a built-in keypad and HD camera that will take and send pictures of who is at your gate to you from anywhere in the world. It works well with many types of gate operators, door openers, magnetic locks and door strikes. From initial setup to daily use, no other access control device on the market is so enjoyable to own.
The Ascent 16-X1 includes a T-Mobile SIM card and is ready for activation. An AT&T SIM card and service plan can be used if necessary or desired. The Ascent X1 uses an app that is downloaded to the "Smart Phone." A monthly cellular provider fee may be required.

- Ascent Units: These plans allow for additional units but do not cover the cost. Each extra unit is $29.95/mo. + taxes and fees. All X2 units cost 39.95 + taxes and fees.
- Users: Users can be given access via app, text, and/or voice. The system uses each user's unique cell phone number as the credential.
- Rollover Calling: Numbers can be selected to roll over to if an initial number is not answered.
- Broadcast Calling: When call button is pressed, multiple phone numbers will be called at the same time until the call is answered. You can also add a custom greeting.
